The National Honor Society (NHS) and Beta Club have been established
at St. Francis DeSales High School to create enthusiasm for
scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote
leadership, and to develop character in the students of DeSales High
School. Our organizations will uphold the motto, “Let us lead by
serving others.” Academic Eligibility for NHS:
A second semester sophomore or junior who has at least a cumulative
3.5 weighted GPA will be considered for membership in the NHS.
Academic Eligibility for Beta Club:
A second semester sophomore or junior who has at least a cumulative
3.3 weighted GPA will be considered for membership in the Beta Club.
In addition to the academic standards, members in the NHS and/or
Beta Club must demonstrate superior qualities in character, leadership
and service both inside and outside of our school community.
