Family Scholarship
This annual scholarship is supported through the generosity of Juanell &
Mike Brey ‘65 and their three sons, Greg ‘89, Eric ‘92, and Darren
’96.
Colt Development Scholarship
This $500 tuition scholarship to DeSales is available annually to
one incoming freshman from every Archdiocese of Louisville grade
school.
Flaget Alumni Association Scholarship
The Flaget Alumni Association awards an annual one-time scholarship
of $1,500.
Holy Rosary Scholarship
DeSales awards a $1,000 financial aid renewable scholarship each
year to an incoming freshman based on financial need and scholastic
achievement. Preference is given to descendants of Holy Rosary
Academy graduates.
Andrew Ising Memorial Scholarship
This endowed scholarship fund was established by Scott ‘84 and Anna
Ising in memory of their son Andrew. Currently in the funding
process, the endowment will support an annual $500 need-based
scholarship at DeSales.
James-Pike Family Scholarship
The James-Pike Family Scholarship is an annual scholarship created through the generosity of Patty and
Doug James '80 in honor of their parents, Robert & Peggy James
and Jim & Jane Pike. The $1,000 award is a renewable
scholarship awarded to an
incoming freshman who qualifies for financial aid.
Jeramie Johnson ‘91 Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is privately funded and awarded annually to an
incoming freshman from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in memory of
Jeramie Johnson ‘91.
Timothy F. Keogh Memorial Scholarship
This financial aid scholarship is awarded annually in memory of Tim
Keogh, a long-time DeSales High School faculty member and Principal
from 2001-2007.
Michael Maier Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is privately funded and awarded annually to an
incoming freshman from Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in memory of
Michael Maier.
Angela Mason Scholarship
This scholarship is privately funded and awarded through the Angela
M. Mason Catholic High School Scholarship Program.
Moisan Scholarship
The Moisan Scholarship is privately funded and awarded annually to a
minority student with demonstrated financial need.
Brian Muth Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is privately funded by the Brian Muth Foundation,
Inc. and is awarded annually to a student from Nativity Academy who
demonstrates financial need.
William T. Owen Scholarship
The William T. Owen Scholarship is a $500 need-based award granted
to one student annually. This endowed scholarship fund was
established by alumnus Dr. John Sansbury ‘69 in memory of his
father-in-law, Mr. William T. Owen.
Chad Pierce Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is privately funded and awarded annually in memory
of Chad Pierce.
Rex Robinson Memorial Scholarship
The Rex Robinson Memorial Scholarship was established through the
generosity of Joseph Gries ‘67 in memory of former Athletic Director Rex Robinson. The
fund supports two (2) annual scholarships of $500. Recipients must
be descendants of DeSales alumni or Holy Rosary alumnae and must
demonstrate financial need.
Shack Foundation Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded by the Shackleton Foundation,
established in 2002 by Sharon Lamb Shackleton in memory of her
husband, Bill Shackleton ‘71. Candidates must meet certain criteria,
with priority given to those active in their parish or community.
St. Elias Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to any incoming freshman who
scores in the 90th percentile or above on the placement test
composite score.
Brandon Tong ‘04 Memorial Scholarship
This memorial scholarship was established through the generosity of Brandon
Tong's parents,
Charles & Jana Tong. The $500 award is granted with special
consideration given to those involved in Boy Scouts, those with a
learning difference, or those who have a special commitment to
community service.
Hal VonSick, Jr. ‘99 Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is privately funded and awarded annually to an
incoming freshman from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in memory of
